Site Diary V1 vs V2 – What is new?

In February 2019, we refreshed Site Diary app and added a couple of new features.

The purpose of the refresh was for us to change the technologies in the app in order to make it smoother, fewer bugs and has the ability to become interoperable with other construction apps and devices. Also, we wanted to change the look and feel of the app so it is simpler for our users.

The article is divided into two sections. Section 1 is a head to head comparison with exact features in the V1 & V2. Section 2 will highlight all the new features that are only found in V2.

Biggest changes

  • Site settings are now on the left menu
  • Preview the images inside of an event
  • You can see what is the status of each event

  • Weather is shown before you save the event, so if the weather is incorrect you can edit the location.
  • You can hide sections you don’t want to see or fill

  • Clear visible button to share and duplicate an event
  • The top of the screen is colour coded depending on the state of the task. Rejected = red, pending = grey, green = approved.

  • If you don’t fill a section, it will not appear on the report

Daily summary PDF report

Summary of every event that is created for that day on that site. It only shows which fields were filled.

The screen is colour coded depending on the state of the task. Delay = red, in progress = yellow, green = completed etc.

 

We hope that you will love the changes we did on the new version and you will find the app more beneficial to your delay work.

Here are several key points about version 2.

  1. Version 2 is completely independent of version 1, which means your login details of V1 will not work on V2. You will need to create a new account to try and use the new version.
  2. If you are a paying user of the V1 then that license will be transferred to V2.
  3. If you would like to move your data from V1 to V2, then send an email to support@sitediary.com. They will contact you with what details they need to make the transfer. This will be a first ask first server service as we cannot do every account at once.
